About this project

My name is Mike Solomon. I'm a software engineer and composer based between Helsinki and Paris.

From 2001 to 2024, I wrote songs — pop songs, chansons, big band charts, lullabies, party songs — and kept them entirely to myself. 65 of them, across five albums I named after streets and neighborhoods where I lived while writing them: Route 18, Lisburn Road, Palm Drive, Impasse de la Blonde, Sepetlahdentie.

This site is the record of me finally doing something with them.

Some songs have scores. Some have demos. Some have collaborators I'm trying to reach. Some are just a title and a memory. I'm fleshing them out, one at a time, with old friends and new ones. When a song gets started, it gets a page here.
